🗓️ Netravati Peak Trek Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival & Campfire

  • Reach base camp near Samse by 6:00 AM.

  • Check-in, freshen up and get ready.

  • Have breakfast at homestay and get the packed lunch.

  • Jeep ride to the forest entry point.
  • Start trek around 7:30 AM.

  • Pass through thick shola forests, ridges, and grasslands.

  • Reach Netravati Peak by 11:30 AM.

  • Rest, enjoy packed lunch, photoshoot.

  • Descend by 2:00 PM, reach base by 4:00 PM.

  • Stay: Dorm tents or shared rooms.

Day 2 – Trek to Netravati Peak

  • Wake up at 5:30 AM, freshen up & have breakfast.

  • Depart back to Bengaluru

The trek spans 7 km one way, making it about 14 km round trip.

Q3: When is the best time for the trek?
The best time is from September to February, when the weather is pleasant, and the landscape is lush post-monsoon.

Q4: Can beginners join?
While it’s moderately challenging, beginners with good fitness levels can participate. Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Q5: What wildlife might I see?
In Kudremukh, expect diverse flora and fauna, including rare birds and, if lucky, sightings of sloth bears or leopards!

Trekking during the monsoon is not recommended due to slippery trails. For safety, plan from September to February.

The trek begins at Kudremukh base camp, around 350 km from Bangalore. You can drive or take a bus to Kudremukh.

Tour Plan

Day 0 Overnight Journey to Netravathi
  • On Friday, get picked up in Bangalore from the following points and start your Kudremukh trekking tour.
  • Indiranagar:  Karachi Bakery Indiranagar
  • Domlur: Union Bank of India
  • Yeshwantpur: Metro Station
  • Gorguntepalya: People Tree Hospitals
  • Begin your overnight journey to Netravathi.
Day 01 Begin with the Trek!
  • On the first day of your Netravathi trek, you will arrive at Kudremukh National Park.
  • Stop by your way to have a delicious and scrumptious breakfast before heading towards your camp.
  • Begin with your 22 km roundtrip trek to the Netravathi.
  • Before ascending to the summit, have lunch halfway.
  • Reach the top, and from there, take in the breathtaking view of the lovely surroundings.
  • After the trek, return to base camp and spend quality time with your friends.
  • Have dinner and end your day.
Day 02 Sightseeing | End of Trek
  • On Day 2, get up and have a delicious breakfast.
  • After getting ready, proceed to samse tea estate.
  • Then visit to the beautiful Belur Temple before proceeding for lunch.
  • On your way back to Bangalore from Netravathi, have a self-sponsored lunch.
  • Return to Bangalore with a bagful of splendid memories.
